Default P-0428

Hi! Got code P-0428 and red "check engine" triangle with exclamation mark. (P0428 Catalyst Temperature Sensor High Input Bank 1 Sensor 1). Fuel consumpiton increased. Does anyone has experience in dealing with the code?

Hello, i have same DTC on a customer V70 5 cyl, replaced EGT 1 and still not solved. Any update on your veichle?

Yeah, I had that code read at Autozone, and the guy told me it was a catalytic converter. I had suspicions on the real problem; I tighten the gas cap, and within a day the check engine light went out.

SOLVED!

This error occurs do to dpf temp to high.

I have solved modify engine ecu calibration.
