I have a V70 2002 model which I can't figure out exactly how to solve the following problem. The error-codes that occure (and are indicated in the instrument panel, red SRS light on - not blinking) is indicated in VIDA in green (or amber), but it wont be erased. Can anyone give me a hint of what to do .. ? How to erase the codes since the cause of the fault seems not to be roccuring.

Errorcodes: SRS-0044, SRS-00D1, SRS-0107, (ECM-531D)

If the codes aren't clearing, the fault is still there. Faults are stored for a reason, not just to be cleared.

You likely need a SIPS bag and buckle. Fault tracing is all in VIDA.

 

SRS module is a bit different.
If codes are yellow in VIDA and cannot be cleared (all of them) that means module becomes locked as if the crash record is registered but it is not. Usually that happens after code is being registered a lot of times.
your car is not the first one that have such issue.

 

Thank you, but what to do then? How can you unlock the SRS module ? Seems not to be easy done in vida... ?

 

It is not done with VIDA and yes I can unlock it.

By reloading firmware with my own software that uses DiCE.
As an alternative go to the dealer and make them reload your SRS module.
