I am now on my 3rd Volvo wagon. I have been driving this 2004 V70 for 3 1/2 years.
Here's the question.... If I get an aftermarket alarm and keyless entry security system installed (AutoPage RF-350) will I need to also install a transponder bypass module (idatalink ADS-ALOM CA) to control the door and hatch locks? By the way, I no longer have the original OEM key fob.

You will need something to interface with the cars immobilizer. Otherwise, you will have issue when you got to start the car.

Are you installing it yourself or having it professionally done?

 

I'm not sure what you mean at all. However, I have ordered the alarm with keyless entry as well as a bypass module to allow control of the door locks from the new fob.
