Will 6.5Jx16" Wheel fit 2001 Volvo V70XC?
I'm getting ready for winter and looking to get a set of rims to mount snow tires on.
I have a 2001 V70XC VIN: YV1SZ58D711028693. I believe it has 7Jx16" rims, but not certain. The wheels do not have it stamped on the outside. Volvo dealer stated 7Jx16.
I found a set of 6.5Jx16" Volvo wheels for a fair price. Before I buy, I'd like to confirm if there is enough clearance/back spacing or any other possible issues.
Thanks in advance!

there's two factors when considering wheel fitment - wheel width and offset. The offset is the distance from the axis of the wheel hub to the wheel's centerline. Typically the wheel will have a stamping like ET40 which means the center of the rim is 40mm to the inside of the hub. your existing wheels should be somewhere in the ET40 to 43 range. Assuming the new rims are about the same ET40 to 45 they should bolt up fine since the rims are narrower - you may actually notice some increase in the fender gap but by 1/4 inch...
