Will not crank???
So I got into my 2004 V70 2.4, AT, 2 wheel drive after unlocking the door with the key\remote and it wont crank. Now, here's what happened; when I went out, I unlocked the car and the interior lights came on. Then I relocked the car because I wanted to see what happened when the yellow button was pushed and sure enough, all the lights came on! I turned them off with the yellow button, unlocked the car with the remote turned the key and it wouldn't crank. It acted like it was in gear but it wasn't. Soooo, what's happening? Did I trigger some sort of alarm??

No alarm. Got in this morning and it started right up. Drove to the office, did a few things and 30 mins later got in to drive, then I drove a company car home. Do you guys think its the battery? It doesn't crank slow, it doesn't crank at all. Key turns, all of the lights come on, it acts fine except it won't crank.

Solved!
There is a small wire going to the starter. It gets corroded at the connector. Simply moving the wire around is enough to re-establish the connection if your in a spot and cant fix it right away. This video explains what to do. Simple fix! Started right up...
