Hi guys I just picked up a 02 v70xc today with 203k on the clock knowing it had some electrical Gremlins. My specialty is old Toyotas so I'm kinda blind here.

From research before I bought it I figured it would be that crappy Bosch battery in the alarm module that is draining the battery but while sitting in it today in my driveway, I noticed that the CD player or something right in that area is making a slight whirring noise while the car is turned off.

So I sat in their on my phone for almost an hour and it just never stopped. I pulled the two fuses that say radio and the sound still did not stop so I'm wondering if anyone has ran into this before (search didn't bring me anything).

So as of right now Im just leaving the negative off the battery while it's parked.

The dash also does not work if anyone wants to shoot a pointer about that. Sometimes it will come on for a few seconds but then it all just turns back off so I can't see fuel or temp levels.
