'06/'07 XC70 Engine Swap Project
Hi Guys,
This is a medium-term goal; not buying an XC70 in the next month or anything. Have an 850 & 780 currently.
After talking with a rep at IPD, the only way to make serious power out of a 2nd gen XC70 is to swap a High-Pressure Turbo engine from an S60 T5 or similar. The low-pressure variant in the XC70s just wont handle much boost apparently.
The XC70, to me, is the perfect car. Namely because it's one of the only volvo wagons that will fit a blow-up twin air mattress into the cargo hold. As well as being legal to tint to 5% behind the driver here in FL; as it's on an SUV Chassis.
Does a swap seem to be the only way to make 300+ Horsepower in these; short of the '09 T6?
