2 new fuel modules; engine still dies in traffic
2006 XC 70, 115,000 miles. Ive only put about 2,000 miles on it. Check engine light = fuel pump problem. Replaced old pump with an aftermarket pump. It only worked for about 50 miles. Died 4 times on trip of 60 miles. Replaced after market pump with new pump ordered from Volvo. Traveled about 150 miles no problem. The today at the end of a 30 mile trip, it died about 2 miles from home. Each time it has died, I have been able to restart it. Saw one entry about possible crankshaft position sensor. Any other ideas?
BTW - In my part of the country I never saw a bad crank sensor on the aluminum block engines (from 1991-2018)
