2004 XC70 requires computer reset to start
I traded in a 2002 v70xc with battery drain issues only to wind up with this one. I've had it for almost 2 weeks and twice when I've tried to start it it just keeps turning over. No clicking like my last car, just sounds like its going to start and it won't.
My dad used to own volvos and told me to try a computer reset. I locked and unlocked it three times and it finally started. When it comes on the check engine light and messages saying engine system and transmission service required come on with it. The next time I start it none of these are there. I took it as a fluke thing the first time, decided to keep an eye on it and I'm now concerned that its happened a second time.
I'm trying to gain some insight as to what it could be, since I'm starting to think the guy who sells the volvos is a complete slimeball and will try to blow me off.
