buying 2001 xc70, advice needed
Hello,
I'm considering buying a 2001 xc70 with 120k miles at $9000 after taxes and fees. It has impeccable service records including a transmission replacement, new front axle, new rotors and brakes and new timing belt two years ago. I know the transmission in the xc70's from this year aren't very good, but would a replacement mean a better transmission or just the same style that will cause problems down the road. No accidents and one owner.
Others I'm considering are the same year with about the same mileage. The others are around 5000-7000 before tax with variable service records, original transmissions and multiple owners.
Do you think the first one warrants a higher price and is that the better choice?
I'm leaning toward the first. Any help is much appreciated.
