call the dealer and see if the front lamp sockets come as a harness separate from the front lamp harness. I just had this problem on my 98 V70 wagon today with the with the socket for the H7 bulb burn out. I called Volvo and they have that harness for $31. I work in parts at a Caddy dealer do my price is $20. You can also look at Eeuroparts.com for this connector. This something you can do because all you need is the connector and just cut and splice the wire.

Thanks, but could you post part number or a link to an online shop to buy it? The one i found at the Eeuroparts.com is some kine of unversal connector and i am not sure if it will fit and work properly.
Also do i have to remove the whole front light assembly to get proper access to this connector?

You can just pull the airbox, much easier.
I have the part number in my tool box. If I'm not busy when I get back from lunch, I can dig it up. But I've been really busy this week and paid work takes priority. A quick call to the dealer will work.
