In my 08 XC70 the stereo screen works, and two different Volvo shops tell me the diagnostics indicate no problem... but it suddenly stopped NOT TURN ON! The mechanics (including a major dealer) can come up with no explanation for it. They tell me there is no code or reset, but I wonder if there is some trick... some key setting or combination to reset it. Power is clearly getting to it, and the CD player will still eject or accept a CD.
