Default 2011 XC70 ignition coils

We have a 2011 XC70 T6 (polestar). I've done a internet search and it shows checking them with some sort of spark tester one at a time out of the vehicle. Is there a good way to test the coil packs with a meter? If so, what are the normal resistance readings and pins?

Thanks in advance.

You will get a check engine light and associated cylinder number if you have a misfire

yes, and it ran a bit rough, turned around but we couldn't make it back home and coil shorted out and popped a fuse, and that was all she wrote. Got it towed and dealer fixed, but I want to check the other 5 coil packs to see if any of the other ones are iffy and hoping there might be a way to do it with a meter. I guess we'll just replace the other 5 so they'll all be new and spark plugs while we're at it. Have 90k miles on the car so I suppose it's time for it.

You can check the coil packs, but it will either test good or not. There is very little inbetween. Sort of like glass. It might be ready to break, but it isn't broken yet.

Instead of being worried about it, just replace them all. I have used aftermarket coil packs for nearly 20 years without issues. They are no better or worse that OEM.
