Default Ignition Coils

I purchased a 2001 S40 at a repo auction last Septmeber. In Janaury (48,000K miles), after the check engine light came on, I was told that the ingnition coils needed to be replaced. It was under warranty, so it was fine with me. Just last week the car was acting as if it was going to die after being started. Then the check engine light came on again. Another trip to the garage resulted in the ingition coils being replaced again (52,000K miles). Though the car is now out of warranty, the coil replacement was of no charge to me after some strongly worded conversations with the Service Mamager and his supervisor. My concern is what could be causing the ignition coils to go out. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Seems a little strange for them to go out that fast. Maybe there is an issue with the harness? What codes are being thrown?

Most of the time it is just bad parts.

The coils will usually go bad within 30,000 to 40,000 miles.
