2013 Head rest

Hi. I own a '99 V70 and an '07 S60, both with leather seats. My wife and I find them to be the most comfortable seats we have ever sat in. In both cases we felt they "fit" us perfectly, without having to break them in. This past experience led us to add a 2013 XC70 3.2 to the collection. Unfortunately, I find that the seat is less than ideal - the head rest/head restraint hits me on the spine where my neck meets my shoulders. It is not a case of having the seat poorly adjusted, as I don't have this problem in either of the other two cars, but a case of the 2013 head rest being so much harder than in my other two Volvos. The discomfort is so bad that at this point I'm sorry I own the car, even though everything else about the car is fine. Does anyone know if I can swap out the 2013 headrest for a softer/earlier model's headrest? For example, can I place a headrest from a 2007 S60 into the 2013 XC70? Any other ideas?

Scooter. I'm sorry you too are having trouble with the S60 headrests. We haven't purchased yet, but we find that the position of the "headrests" pushes your head so far forward that it creates tension in your upper back and neck. Very bad. We're trying to figure out a way to modify the headrests after purchase; the dealer of course maintains that the headrests are really head guards to prevent whiplash--I'm not sure how effective they are. Unfortunately, we're also pessimistic that old headrests will fit into the 2013 S60 because the seat is a brand new design. We'll report back hopefully in the next few weeks what we find.
