240 Head rest removal
#3
RE: 240 Head rest removal
I replaced my front passenger seat upholstery last night.
The headrest mounts are retained by 2 plastic keepers (per headrest) inside of the seat. These keepers must be rotated 180degrees in order to remove the headrest. You can see the keepers inside the seat if you remove the upholstery.
I suppose if you can depress the seat upholstery enough (around the 2 mounting points of the headrest) you might be able to rotate the keepers.
I suspec that forcing the headrest out (without rotating the keepers) will result in damage to the seat.
Good Luck,
Don
