I have an '01 v70 xc. got a cracked radiator, it started dumping fluid out of corner joint where the transmission cooler is. I got a radiator from a salvage yard, but it has a different fittings for the transmission fluid hoses. The rad I pulled off is a Nissens (from 2020, the year I got this car, so that sucks) and has hard lines with screw on fittings that pull the interior pipe out. The new rad is Valeo/Volvo and has fittings which a hose goes over. I'm skeptical of installing it now because I didn't think through the fact that theres likely gunk in that pipe and I have a good chance of getting it into my transmission. I'm going to do a flush of the transmission fluid while I got this all out, so my question is is there a good way to fit the salvaged rad onto those hoses, or do I need to pull those hoses and change the whole setup. I'm thinking I just buy a brand new rad maybe: https://www.ipdusa.com/products/2235...Volvo-31319062

to avoid the possibility that I get gunk in my transmission. I've attached photos of what I am talking about. Thanks for the help, I'm at a loss for how to proceed after I've already dumped so much money at this. old cracked nissens radiator current fittings on the car Salvaged radiator
