Default Airbag Service Urgent - SRS-0084 and SRS-007C

Would these codes cause this message in the display?
The message only appeared after I replaced the BCM but I'm pretty sure the codes were there before.
Maybe the brake failure message hid the airbag message?
I have an iCarsoft CR Pro and tried to reset the errors but they keep coming back.

I did forget, or rather didn't know, to unplug the battery. Lesson learned there.

well if your codes come back it means either the reader is not capable of clearing the codes or you have a fault.

I find https://www.dtcdecode.com very useful in seeing what the fault code is saying. Both these are pointing to the rear seat belt tensioners (center and right) look like they're open circuits, so I'm wondering if you did anything that could have broken a connector or wire.

Not sure what you are referring to about disconnecting the battery - what were you working on prior to the codes displaying?

I had removed and replaced the BCM without disconnecting the battery. I've read a few places that doing anything with another module with the battery disconnected could cause problems.
It's used, no idea what could have been done before but I did find the ducts for the vents under the front seats were in the cargo area, someone was definitely doing a thorough cleaning.

I've been trying to find a diagram of where the connectors would be or how to get to them. The only thing I can find is how to remove the seat cushions.
Are the only connectors to worry about the ones a few inches from the seat belt buckles under the seat?

You are looking for a short - it could be a frayed wire, could be in the tensioner or could be in one of the connectors going all the way to the front. Curious what happens if you extend the seatbelts (ie as if somebody is sitting there) and you try to reset the codes.

----------------------------------------
Description:If the circuit voltage is too low (0V) for more than 10 seconds, diagnostic trouble code SRS-0081 is displayed. Orange general warning lamp is on.Cause:
  • Short circuit to ground in connector
  • Short circuit to ground in the signal wire between seat-belt tensioner and the supplemental restrain system (SRS)
  • Short circuit to ground in seat-belt tensioner

Where is the connector? Is it going to the belt in the pillar or to the buckle under the seat?
When I google for pics I get conflicting results.

I'd start at the seat belt tensioner and start probing for voltage and ground and work backwards from there. Also check fuses - ya never know...

I had a Similar failt that ended up being a problem with the board in the seat. See if you cant pinpoint the fault with the scanner. The seat adjustment and the airbag signals run through that same board. Check the opperation of both seats if you have one that doesnt move correctly my bet would be on that board. Salvage yards and ebay will have the whole panel with the board pretty cheap

I found an unplugged connector when I started to take the seat apart. The plugs were behind the passenger side rear seat side bolster.
