Default A/c relay tripping

My 2002 xc70 a/c clutch relay that's under the hood in the engine compartment, trips only when the temps outside are higher than 100 degrees. I recently moved to phoenix from myrtle beach and never had a problem. Please help. I am stumped. All pressures are fine. I can replace the bosch 12v relay when the a/c stops and all is well until it heats up again. Does the clutch gap have anything to do with this? Thanks guys.

Yes, my first step would be to measure up the clutch gap. Goal is to get it to about .4mm - they start to act up around .7 or .8mm. Plenty of Youtube vids to see how to...

Thanks buddy,
I've seen those videos and are a big help. I just thought it was some weird electrical issue since Volvo's happen to have alot. I appreciate it.
