chirping sound from underneath car XC70
Hi everyone,
New to volvos here.
I'm trying to diagnose an odd chirp coming, I think, from under the car. It's short and happens when applying throttle and letting off throttle. Most easily heard at slow speeds with the windows open but probably occurs at all speeds. Could it be a driveshaft coupling of some sort that's loose. Any insights are appreciated.

I have a 2008, so this may not be your problem...
I had and have this chirping sound again.
Believe it or not it is a rear trailing arm bushing. I have a great garage in Ithaca that fixed my problems. I don't think I could have changed the parts myself.

Since posting the question I've spoken to a few local xc70 drivers who experience the same odd chirp but no definitive cause. A trailing arm bushing makes sense and I'll have it checked out. Thanks.
