DIM issues?

I apologize if this thread is misplaced or redundant, but I didn't find anything very similar.
2003 XC70
I bought this car used and noticed the high beam indicator onoly works about 80% of the time. More recently I noticed the handbrake indicator works only when it feels like it. And just this past week, my clock has stopped holding the correct time and the thermometer was reading 60 degrees on a 32 degree day.
So... separate issues, or is it time to replace the DIM?
Thanks everyone. Have a great day!

Sounds like the motorola chipset in your DIM has partially worked its way loose from your DIM's PCB. Pretty common problem; apparently this chip gets pretty hot and the thermal cycles over the years stress the solder joints.
I just fixed mine on my 2002 V70 XC (which had been exhibiting similar symptoms for the last two years or so, but worse... garbled milage/clock, etc); pulled the DIM out, disassembled it, and reflowed the solder on the chip with a weller hot air reflow station.
All in all took about 30 minutes start to finish, and works great now.
Now if I could only figure out why the big screen on the left is being temperamental. It seems to work fine for several minutes, but after being on for a while it just clears itself. The backlight still works (rolling through the info screens turns the backlight on/off as it should, but the display is blank).
