Default Digital displays very dim

Hello New 2001 S60 and for that matter Volvo owner here.

Question: My digital read outs, like mileage, radio display, etc. are real dim. Almost impossible to see while driving. I have checked the dimmer switch and it is all the way up.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Default RE: Digital displays very dim

Is the headlight switch in the daytime running lights position or the headlights position?

Default RE: Digital displays very dim

I dont know about 01, but on my 05 the dash lights will not come always come on when the headlights are in "on" position, or even if in DRL mode when the headlights come on automatically. Its almost like the dash lights have a different setting from the headlights for when to come on.

For example, daytime and turn headlights on. Dash lights do not come on or dim.

Ive noticed at dusk, headlights will come on in DRL mode with no dash lights. Then while driving thru woods where its darker, the dash lights will come on.

This probobly doesnt help, just my experience.
