Default Front floor board saturated 2011 xc70 3.2

I’ve searched and searched….and found 1 post for the p3 XC70 possible leak issues. I did the sunroof cleaning as I was soaking up probably a gallon of water from the driver front floor board. The rear driver side was also really wet, but assume from front. I checked the ac drain on right side and it was fine….and dry. This sunroof doesn’t have rear drains I believe since the water has no where to go. Also, would a sealed sunroof really leak enough to allow that much water in? I poured water and came out both front sunroof drains fine.

I took off the A pillar cover and noticed that there isn’t a plastic piece like on other years. So I used trimmer string and went from the top to the bottom and back up from the drain.

the liquid was totally water and no antifreeze so not heater core?

The cowl seems to push water to the sides and drains down sides. I didn’t see any other drains and assume it’s taken care of if it goes over cowl somehow?

any other suggestions? I did find the upper part of “carpet” near pedals damn too, but assume soaked up from think floor carpet padding. Literally 100% saturation in that foam

thank you very much for considering.

I had a similar experience with a 940 and it was definitely heater core - I learned that when it ran out and was out of antifreeze Other than that, I dont have an idea.
