Grinding noise from front passenger right side, engine ticking when idle
There's probably multiple variables here but I'm going to try and get to the point as quickly as possible.
I have a Volvo XC70 2008 AWD.
Whenever I start driving the axle makes this loud grinding noise, which is especially loud if I make a sharp right turn. It usually goes away if I drive the car for a long time (>30 minutes). I know one of the front CV boots is cracked and has grease spilling out, but I'll have to check which side it's on because I think it might be the driver side.
Also, when I first start my car I get a very loud engine ticking noise. Sort of a "tah tah tah tah" noise you'd expect from a school bus engine almost. It's almost only heard when I let up off the gas, not while I'm pressing the gas. It makes the noise in park too. I also feel like the acceleration is pretty weak and occasionally the engine will stall for half a second while I'm accelerating.
I checked the check engine codes back in January so they may not be up to date, but here they are.
P0455, P0455-00
P0190, P0190-00
P0333-00
P1157-00
P0171-00
P0174-00
P151B-68
P1170-68
P1173-68
U3003-16
The volvo dashboard also says "Needs maintenance now".
Any help is appreciated. I'm trying to save for tuition anything I can DIY or check myself is a plus. Thanks.

I'd start by clearing the codes then restart and see what resets. here's a handy link to look up the various codes: https://www.dtcdecode.com/Volvo
Have you had any recent battery / system voltage issues? quite often when there's a long list of seemingly unrelated fault codes, it can indicate a false positive due to a weak battery or charging system issue (voltage drops set off wrong codes). You happy meal ranges from a faulty knock sensor, large evap leak, fuel pressure sensor etc so I'd be inclined to check battery voltage/charging system/battery cables/terminals etc then see what codes reappear after a few daily drives. The surging stalling could point to a fuel pressure issue so that's something you can test for.
The ticking can be a few things - does it change with engine speed? go away as the engine warms up? Where does it seem to come from when listening with the hood open? It could be a valve lifter or an accessory so you'd need to listen around and see what makes it change sounds. When was the last time the oil was changed?
If you have a torn axle boot, chances are dirt has gotten into the CV joint which will damage the bearings and the axle / joint will need to be replaced.
