So, I happen to find, in my friends storage, the factory OEM cross-bars for this '04 XC-70 that he had. One cross bar is missing the lower plastic boot that covers the tightening mechanism. I'm assuming this is a Volvo part. Baring that, anyone have one, and/or another source?

At first I thought that you were talking about the strut bracing that doubles as a top engine mounting. However, it sounds like you are talking about a roof rack?

 

Roof rack cross bar is correct :-)
