My '04 V70 just flipped a timing belt and I am looking for a different one. I would like a 05 to 2012 wagon. Are there any to avoid? I know all are prone to different problems. I know I should have replaced timing belt, it's my own fault. Any info appreciated.

 

I'd say if you are looking for AWD, newer models are better. As to FWDs, its really finding the right car - ie well maintained is more important than low miles IMHO. Newer models (ie 2009+ ) have more "smart" components thus as less DIY friendly.
