Default Radio issues

2006 XC 70. I have had this car for the past 2 years. Upon purchase, I changed the radio to a Kenwood reciever. Straight forward installation. Here's the problem: When the temps drop (it's now in the 30's in New York), the radio is dead. I have to remove the radio fuse (on the driver's side dash end) and re-insert it. If I get in and the radio is inactive, I turn off the ignition, remove the key...remove the fuse and re-insert it. Then, it's in operation. What a pain. I forget about it until the cold weather approaches.
Any idea what the heck is going on?
