Default SYSTEM SERVICE URGENT LIGHT on & off

tank???

Now another issue.

3 weeks ago my alternator belt broke and broke the pulley on the alternator. The system service urgent light and battery light came on. We replaced the alternator, belt and installed a new battery.

Last week my drivers front door window would not go down. I recalibrated and window works fine. A few days later the passenger front window would not go down. Recalibrate it and it works fine. This AM the SYSTEM SERVICE URGENT Light came on along with the battery symbol. It would go on and off. I then noticed my drivers window would not go down again. Recalibrated and it was back to normal. Drove the car 15 miles home, the system urgent light didn't come on for a few minutes then it did. When i arrived home, for the hell of it, i tried my front windows again. The drivers side was fine, but the passenger front again did not want to go down. I recalibrated it, it works again, i came inside and here i am. What is going on here? I am thinking my windows may be part of the issue. I know nothing about cars. I am hoping you might have a suggestion for me. Thanks all!!!

I have a 2002 VX70 with 95k on the clock and had prob. like yours. Turned out the alt was not putting out what it should so the battery would not fully charge and strange things would happen. Alarm would not stay set, heater blower would come on by itself with the key off, service urgent light on and off. Would put a charge on battery and it would be fine for a day or so.
Finally did a little reading and checked the output of the Alt. It was low so replaced with OEM alt. ($495.00 installed) and everything has been fine for the last six months or so. These Volvo's are very voltage sensitive and strange things happen if they are not happy, think minimum is 12.4 volts. Hope this helps you a little.
