Has anyone had this performed and has anyone noticed any difference.

 

Include year, trim level, odometer and descriptions with a post. It frequently helps and is often necessary.

Over 10 years ago I had the occasional 2-3 shift flare and double bumping into "D" with my 2002 base.
A dealership said they installed TCM update p/n 30677036.
There was no description of this update or reflash.
There was an instant improvement in smoothness.

FYI: The original owner was prompted to sell the car due to these symptoms. He had had the fluid changed at a Volvo dealership.
Why didn't his dealership suggest the TCM download?

Also, I heard about LubeGard red at this time. Since the fluid was sparkling clean I decided to add some (1 oz. per system quart).
That juice helped even more and I've been using and recommending it ever since.
