I have a 1991 740T sedan and the speedometer has become eratic. It some times does not move at all, then it will register 50 or 60 mph even though I am doing 25mph. Is this the cable or some other problem?

Either the ABS sensor in the Rear diff. cover is going bad or the wiring at the sensor.

Or the speedometer is on its way out.
