I need to replace the overdrive solenoid relay. Can anyone tell me where it is? which panel do I have to remove to get at it and how is the panel removed. Thanks

What year and is it saloon (sedan) or estate (wagon)?

 

Its a 1988 turbo estate

 

The fuses (and relays) are located in the central electrical unit behind the ashtray in the centre console.
To obtain access to the central electrical unit:
[*]Remove the ashtray. Pull out and depress the tongue.[*]Press up the section marked "electrical fuses-press " and remove the unit.
