Hello,
I have a 1978 244 and the cable that the AC/heater dashboard control operates has broken behind the console where it attaches to the blower case. This is the slider control that switches from heater to AC and back, I think it operates a door or shutter in the blower case. Is there a way to bypass this and manually make the change? It is now set on heater and as summer is coming it will soon be unbearable. The diagram in my Haynes manual shows the cable but does not clearly show how or what it operates. I would greatly appreciate any possible help. Thanks in advance.
