Vacuum pump on Volvo 440 td…help please!
Hi i have just finished rebuilding my 1995 1.9 turbo diesel 440 after the cam belt broke. I am now ready to turn the key but i have one pipe left that i am unsure where it goes?! I will try explain what/where it is.
On the vacuum pump there is a take off from the pipe which goes to the brake servo. The take off pipe travels back towards the radiator where it goes into a little switch or something with some electrical connections (i think this is some sort of brake switch e.g. if there is a vacuum in this switch then the brake warning light will stay off or something like that). The pipe i'm actually unsure of is coming out of this switch type thing and traveling in the direction of the fuel pump or the vacuum pump.
I was wondering if any one knows or could have a look on there volvo where this goes or is it jus a breather type thing.
Any help would be very appreciated as i am dying to start my car and drive it again!
Thanks again
