Hi all: I'm new to this forum, having just purchased a 1965 Amazon wagon. The previous owner (for 40 years!), replaced the original engine and transmission with rebuilt 140 models, but still has the originals (with 125K on them). Is it worth holding on to the originals if I have no plans to put them back in the vehicle? Any value to them? Many thanks, Steve

 

welcome to the forum. You have a few options - 1) post it to the Volvo classified - see the Forums drop down menu to find it 2) post it on eBay (way better audience than Craigslist) 3) keep it and tear it down and rebuild it for a project then sell it 4) bury it in the yard LOL, true story - back when I was in high school I did an engine swap on a BMW 2002 removing a worn out 1600 engine. Did the job at a friends house - where he suggested we bury the block in the barn. At my 30th HS reunion my friend told me his dad asked where the hell did that engine buried in the barn come from. Neither of us fessed up.
