My driver side speaker has blown. The wire connection is a little clip that slides into the speaker. The only speakers that I have found so far do not have that little input for the clip.

If I use an aftermarket speaker, do I need to cut the clip off the wires coming out of the door, and manually attach them to the new speaker? OR is there a certain type of aftermarket speaker that has the proper attachment?

 

I think I'm just going to cut the "clip" off, and attach the wires to a new speaker. Any thoughts?

 

That'll work. Soder the connection if you can...electrical tape will work too.
