Does anybody know how many watts the Amps in the new volvos will have with the premium sound package? More specifically the s40 if diferent? I know its an alpine amp but i do not know any specs. Also, how many watts are needed for the whole sound system not including the subs? (Im looking to replace the subs and am wondering if i need a new amp)

 

You'll need a new amp. The problem with any factory premium system is that they're designed to work best with what's provided. The subs in teh Premium volvos are really just glorified speakers and teh amps are100 watts at best. If you try to put an aftermarket sub in there it'll klip for lack of power.
