Default alarm failure

Not sure if this is the right location...My alarm wont sound.... it clicked at first a friend tightened the screw looking thing on the end of the alarm now it doesnt click but it doesnt sound eithter.... do i need a new piece or can i adjust it.... thanks in advance!

Try backing the nut off some if not then you will need a new one.

there is no nut....its a bult then plastic.... is it missiing or am i doing something wrong... if a bolt is rquired will any nut the right size work or is it special... what are the dimensions anyways?

Lets make sure we are talking about the same part. It is a horn looking thing mounted on the firewall behind the engine.Some have a nut in the middle and some have the plastic. But it should unscrew. Try unscrewing it some and see if it makes noise again.

i think we are talking about the same thing.... the nut came undone, at this point there is no more note... i have no stock nut... i only have a makeshift adlib nut.. it works but the sound is weak... not very effective...

please advise...

buy a new nut or alarm... there seems no need to buy the alarm... all i need are the dimensions of the nut

That is called the Horn/Siren. It shouldn't be that expensive.(Not sure though)

It is metric. Most like either a M6 or a M8 thread.
