Amp Installation: Negative and Positive Speaker Wire Colours
Hi,
I have a 1997 Volvo 850 Wagon. I am going to install an amp and sub in the car using the speaker connections in the rear pillar. I think they are tweeters. Does anyone know what colour the negative and the positive wires are?
Secondly, can anyone recommend a good remote power source for the amp and where it is located? (i.e., a wire that is only live while the radio is running.)
Thanks,
Nate

Thanks for the info. Would it be possible to get the pdfs of that file?
How do I find out if my car has an amp? Where is it located in the car (I have a 97 850 Wagon)?
Thanks again.

I can't e-mail the file it is way to large.
I can only do it the way I did it.
If your car had an amp it is behind the radio burried in the dash.
If you had an amp it would be plugged into the Amp port on the back of the OEM radio.

you can pull out radio fuse twist wire and plug into one side of the fuse hole then plug fuse into same spot ,make lead short so it doesn't touch other metal
