Default Bypassing my stock amp

IM trying to install an aftemarket car stereo system in my 99 s80 and i was told in order to install a new deck i would need to wire past the stock amp.Can anyone help

Your statement is true, you need to run new wire from the after market radio to the speakers. Second option is to buy or make an adapter to use the factory amp, Ebay it.

You would probably have better luck just installing a new head unit and running a higher quality aftermarket wire to your speakers, and getting a amp for them if you want, it would sound a lot better than using the stock equipment.

I found this illustrated reference on how to do it. This is for the 740/760 so may not be exactly te same model as yours, but it gives you the idea...

My technician has something to do with this installation.I bought an aftermarket stereo last week and installed him,just to be sure everything will work good.

I found manuals about stock amps and merecedes parts in racepages.com…you might find manuals for volvo too..
