C70 Radio Installs
I got a new radio for my 98 C70 cause the sc901 3 disc changer sometimes jams in the morning and resets. I got a jvc double din and Best Buy wants over $150 to install it. It doesnt look hard to install but I dont know how it mounts. Any one offer help? This double din doesnt have a cage.
It's just a matter of finding the right fit kit, wire harness and loads of patience with trial and error of how to dismantle the dash enough to get at the stereo....generally there's a few pannels that come off via snaps or screws and then you're in business. Hooking everything up is the easy part....it's getting the dash appart that's frustrating.
ok.. I gave up and just took it to Best Buy. They ended up just sliding (tight) it between the rail for the oem radio. Then there is gap so you have to make a trim piece. It seems the OEM radio is taller then a double din. The amp was bypassed already and running aftermarket amps...
