I currently have an '01 s40 and desperately want to plug my ipod in but trying not to break the bank in doing so. Anyone have any suggestions?? (aside from the fm transmitter)

 

Check out http://www.dension.com/. I just purchased an 06 XC90 and these are the ONLY people that have a system that will work with the factory system. The unit I ordered will do Ipods, thumb drives, hard drives and they also have Video accesories as well as a Bluetooth accesory.

They are not cheap but compared to having to yank the whole system and put in an aftermarket system the Gateway500 adapter is nothing!
