Which would provide better sound quality, an interface through the CD input like this

2) Soldering stereo input directly into the tape preamp, like here: http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/ipo...adio_input.php

I can easily do either, but the question is whether spending $10 dollars on option one is better sound or not.
