Trying to add an Ipod to the stock HU 613 headunit that came in the car. Bought a very simple looking cable off E bay that will not work. The cable has the connector that plugs into the spot for the CD changer on one end and the ipod on the other. Not sure why it does not work, could be the $8.00 price tag.
The questions I have are:
Do I need to do something for the radio to recognize that an external device is be used?

If I swap this radio for another HU 613 will anything have to be programed or reflashed?

The reason for the possible swap is that the disc no longer eject.
