i have the pemium sound system in my 1996 volvo sedan and was wondering if it would be worth the money to upgrade?

You have the premium sound system, what higher is there other then going aftermarket?

 

....yes, Volvo's premium sound system, although very nice, is over rated. Hit the aftermarket scene and good luck

I wouldn't go to Ebay for car sound equipment.

I would go to some place that deals in audio equipment and car audio equipment.

For example TWEETER. Circuit City and Best Buy are ok but you wont get the best service and the best install.

Tweeter does nice work and the brands they sell are great.

I disagree...as long as you know what to look for, ebay is a wonderful place to find system components. There are a lot of acredited refurbishers and wholesalers that opporate exclusivly on e-bay. Not to mention, if you're an experienced e-bayer you can find what your looking for for half what Best Buy, Circut City and the like sell it for. I used to install for Best Buy....they suck. Really, they don't do anything different than what the average person would do installing there own stuff (provided they knew half of what need to be done i guess). The only difference is they have all the dash tools to take stuff appart.
