New member dropping in to say hi, recent convert to the volvo cause after years of my dad owning a few. just purchased a 97 s70 se t5. bought on abit of a whim, needed transport quickly and it jumped off the page in autotrader.... to say i'm surprised is abit of an understatement, its only the 193 bhp model but bloody hell, talk about s*** of a shiny one! the only critisism i can level at it is that i feel the brakes are abit underwhelming so i'm looking to pick some brains about big brake conversions if anyone has a successful receipe. i've heard a rumour that some audi stuff fits, anyone know how true this is? if anyone feels like getting in touch my personal address is disco427 @ hotmail . co . uk without the spaces of course.
i'm from just north of birmingham, doany gatherings happen nearby? Dave

Hi everyone, I might as well say hello here too, I didn't see it right at the top of the page.
I'm Chris, probably one of the younger members on the board (19) and by the looks of things in this thread in contrast to my age I've got one of the older cars.
1989 740SE, totally stock which is a necessity to keep the young driver insurance costs down, give it a couple of years and I'm planning on dropping the 16 valve turbo engine in which should bring it somewhat closer to all you T5 guys!

Hello John (and all other UK forum users!)
Just standing to attention for role-call! Keith here, owner of 1995 850 t5 wardrobe, or "La Diablo Negra" as she is affectionately known. Would like to hear from other members from Essex, and would help with mech jobs! She is my first volvo after a long line of land rovers and I could get used to this "car" lark. Wish I could pull away in the wet though!! lol
My 850 is a little dated but is still a very capable car. Thanks
Keep it volvo
Keith
