2005 S60R Timing Belt
Hi,
I have a '05 S60R with 135k miles that I've owned from new. Still love the car, and it's in good condition.
One thing that I've gotten obsessed with is the timing belt. I'm concerned about it's age and am thinking I should replace it due to it's advanced age.
What do you think? It's an expensive repair, but so is a new engine.
Thanks for reading.

https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/ti...als-volvo-pdf/ has the service manager bulletin with all the details by engine/year.
For your car, its 10 years/120K miles (whichever comes first) and the service includes the idler and tensioner. FCP, IPD etc sell kits with all three parts but its also a good time to do the serpentine (drive) belts and inspect those idlers as well. Water pump replacement requires removing the belts so its a good time to do that as noted, particularly if its original.
Any markings or notes when the belt was last serviced? Most shops will put a sticker or write it somewhere on the engine/covers
