Oil Trap Blockage

Oil Trap Blockage
I have a 2003 Volvo s60 with 220,000 miles. Does not seem to have transmission or motor concerns(except 1). I use it for local deliveries getting 22-26 MPG. In past 8 months, I had to add oil weekly. With no evidence of burning oil, I put a rubber glove over the "oil fill" hole to find that the glove sucked into to the hole. I changed the oil trap and associated hoses. Putting the parts back together without cleaning the oil pan, I found that the glove expanded correctly when motor started and that the oil loss stopped. Now, 3-4 months later, the motor air flow test indicates that the new oil trap is clogged (probably because I did not clean the oil pan) and the car is again using/blowing oil as evidenced underneath.
MY QUESTIONS .
(1) Without replacing the oil trap, can I apply air into the hose (by the oil fill hole) to blow the crud back into the oil pan (for cleaning)? Or
(2) Must I now change the oil trap again?
