Hi im new to this volvo scene , i was wondering...im planning to buy a 1994 850 turbo wagon this weekend..it is automatic..what will i need to change it to a 5 speed?...i did a swap on a nissan 240sx with my brother already, all i need was new pedals/tranny/slave cylinder and master cylinder....volvos are obviously different then nissans but i heard its an easy swap on these models..and 1 more question, are the 94 rwd or fwd?

 

It is FWD.
Best to do is find a N/A donor car and swap it all over.

 

I agree with TECH. Find an 850 N/A and take all the parts from it.

 

I have never cared for tranny changes, more often then not they are prone to failure, in my experience.You would think hey just switch out a few things and your good. but no, something always leaks, something always has an issue. but hey if you know what your doing, and you can make it work. more power to ya
