turning a 90 Automatic 240 into standard
I have a straight gasoline 90 240 automatic sedan rolling chassis - I also have a diesel 84 240 standard sedan that a year ago ran well but was sideswiped by a Mac Truck and has been collecting dust so I was wondering how difficult it would be to take the diesel engine and transmission out of the 84 and install in the 90? I realize the clutch peddle and break peddles will have to be swapped out - how difficult is that ? and is there any other thing that would be good to know about? If anyone can give me a heads up on this I will appreciate it! Thanks

Tag
Thanks Bubba,
I will look in the trunk area for this tag - do you know where it is located?
And off hand do you know one way or another if the Volvo 240 station wagon
had different rear end gearing compared to that of a sedan? I know the correct tires on the wagon are taller than those which are called out for the sedan but the gearing may still be the same.
We had a standard 90 wagon and my wife loved it - should have kept it - it got 30+MPG on highway but we opted out for a newer & nicer automatic sedan thinking it would be better - OH well!
Thanks
