Question B5244T3 Valve Timing

Hello,

I'm rebuilding my engine and have some questions about the valve timing synchronization?

When I open and started to clean my cylinder head I saw on a few of them some small marks from the valve hitting the cylinder. There were little tiny marks, I did not saw them at first I had to clean them to get visible. Not sure if there are new or old. So my guess is that my timing was not that perfect.

Inspecting the pulleys I can see that they are not in the middle like there are on this schematic https://workshop-manuals.com/volvo/s...age-594002.png from this documentation https://workshop-manuals.com/volvo/s...ons/page_5894/

Here is a photo of both of them right now. ( I will have to disassemble them to change the crank seals )

On the schematic there are always in the middle main are on one side only. Is this normal?

It's seems that they had moved a little ?

A
So my question is how to sync them to the factory setting.
